The team announced on its initial injury report that the reigning No. 1 overall pick won't play on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, as he continues his foot recovery.
Flagg is currently in the final stages of his left midfoot sprain rehabilitation. He was seen as a participant in the Mavs' Thursday practice.
Due to the injury, Flagg didn't play in the team's last game against the LA Lakers before the All-Star Weekend. He also failed to suit up in the Rising Stars Challenge.
Flagg's next chance to play is on Sunday against the Indiana Pacers.
The 19-year-old played in 49 games so far this season, averaging 20.4 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 34.1 minutes of play.
