Stephen Curry Injury: Insider drops alarming update for Warriors

Despite no structural damage, Curry is still experiencing swelling in his right knee and his timetable of return is yet to be determined.

Dubs fans are still in a waiting mode as Stephen Curry remains unavailable with a knee injury. As the season resumes for the Golden State Warriors right after the All-Star break, the superstar guard is set to miss his sixth consecutive game on Thursday against the Boston Celtics.

ESPN insider Shams Charania provided further updates about Curry's ongoing recovery.

"I’m told an MRI in the last 24 hours on Stephen Curry showed no structural issue in his right knee, but he is dealing with persistent swelling and pain in that knee," he said. "The team is describing the injury as runner’s knee. Curry works out individually, as he did over the All-Star break, and afterward experiences pain and swelling.

"Both the Warriors and Curry need that to subside before he can try to play again, and it’s uncertain whether that will be days or weeks away."
