Grayson Allen ruled out against Spurs on Thursday

Phoenix Suns guard Grayson Allen has been ruled against the San Antonio Spurs.

Allen entered the post-All-Star break schedule listed as questionable on Wednesday with a right ankle sprain ahead of the Spurs’ Thursday matchup.

Allen was initially left off the report. He missed the Suns’ last three games before the All-Star break due to a knee issue. He previously missed time with a right quad injury in November and an illness and a right knee injury in December.

Dillon Brooks is out due to a one-game suspension after being assessed his 16th technical foul against the Thunder. Cole Anthony (not with team) remains out.

Newcomer Haywood Highsmith, who officially signed with Phoenix on Wednesday, is out for right knee injury management. He was working 5-on-5 with the Brooklyn Nets before he was released ahead of the All-Star break, his agent told the New York Daily News’ C.J. Holmes.

Devin Booker and Jalen Green remain off the injury report after being out for the Suns’ final game before the All-Star break against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Feb. 11. Isaiah Livers, who has missed the Suns’ last three games due to a shoulder issue, is also off the injury report.

In 35 games, Allen is averaging 17 points (41.8% shooting), 4 assists and 4 rebounds, while shooting 36.9% from 3-point range.
