After being quite healthy over the years, Jalen Green has had a nightmare start to his career with the Phoenix Suns. He strained his hamstring early on, and then he re-aggravated it when he came back.
Now, the Suns have him back fully healthy for the first time in a long time. The Suns have done well without him, as they are firmly in the postseason race. However, the front office does believe in the long-term viability of Green and Devin Booker together.
Green appreciates the Suns' front office's support
Throughout the 2025-26 season, Dillon Brooks has been the second option in Phoenix. He has done well because he has broken out into a 20+ points per game scorer. With Green returning, they have an underrated trio.
During his time with the Houston Rockets, Green showed that he could be a star player. He might not reach the same level as his old rival Cade Cunningham, but he can still make a difference with the Suns.

Phoenix's general manager, Brian Gregory, has shown that he believes in the Suns' long-term future. Booker is the centerpiece of the system, but Gregory also believes that Green can be his long-term running mate.
"That's amazing for the GM to believe in you. It's a good feeling... Just to be on that court with that confidence behind you, that's a good feeling when you're out there playing," Green said to Duane Rankin of AZ Central.
Gregory thinks Green and Booker can form the league's best backcourt. That is immense praise, but it can happen because of the duo's natural chemistry with each other, and their explosive scoring.
