The New England Patriots had a remarkable season, reaching the Super Bowl, thanks in large part to their outstanding rookie class.
New England selected 11 players in the 2025 NFL Draft, with left tackle Will Campbell standing out as the Patriots' top pick at No. 4 overall. Given the strength of this draft class, Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski awarded the team an impressive "A-" for their selections, highlighting Campbell at the top.
"Super Bowl LX may have tainted this draft class ever so slightly, but the team wouldn't have even reached that point without strong contributions from its rookies," Sobleski wrote on Thursday.
"Too many played the blame game after Will Campbell's struggles during the postseason. At the same time, he helped anchor a unit that finished second overall in scoring offense. Does he have some limitations compared to more traditionally built left tackles? Yes. However, improved technique and consistency will go a long way for last year's fourth overall pick to bounce back and no longer be at the forefront of conversations."
Campbell wasn't the only offensive star the Patriots targeted; they also selected Ohio State's running back, TreVeyon Henderson in the second round. Henderson rushed for 911 yards and scored nine touchdowns over 17 games, earning praise from Sobleski for his impressive performance.
"Second-round running back TreVeyon Henderson quickly turned into one of the NFL's best big-play running threats thanks to his impressive burst," Sobleski added.
All eyes will be on how the Patriots handle the 2026 NFL Draft, but finding great players will be a bit challenging given they currently hold the No. 31 pick in the first round.
