Chelsea are interested in signing Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-Jae, according to reports in Germany.
Bild reporter Christian Falk has claimed that the South Korean international will be available for transfer this summer, and he believes the Blues and London rivals Tottenham are keeping tabs on his situation. Fans on X are split on whether the club should recruit Kim:

Chelsea are weighing up whether to sell 3 centre-backs
It was reported last week that Liam Rosenior’s side would consider offers for Tosin Adarabioyo, Benoit Badiashile and even Trevoh Chalobah.
If the trio were leave Stamford Bridge, there would be room in the first-team squad for a player like Kim.
Isn’t Kim too old to be a transfer target?
The South Korean international is 29 years of age, and that fact alone would usually rule him out of a switch to Chelsea
However, while the club do have a policy of targeting players 25 or under, they have made exceptions for certain players. They tried to recruit Virgil van Dijk before he signed a new contract with Liverpool last year.
Kim is certainly not at the same level as van Dijk, and he won’t be available on a free transfer either. However, he would add experience to a squad which doesn’t have any older players. Any deal would have to be on the Blues’ terms, though. They looked into buying Mike Maignan from AC Milan just over six months ago, but they wouldn’t pay over €15m (£13m) for the France international. They would probably table a lowball offer for Kim as well.
