It’s been a little over a month since Liam Rosenior managed his first match as Chelsea boss, and the overriding feeling among Chelsea fans is that Rosenior has been a good appointment.
When Rosenior arrived, Chelsea had failed to win a Premier League game in a month, and Enzo Maresca’s comments in front of the media were causing uncertainty. The Italian also had to contend with injuries.
But following the 2-1 loss at Fulham, Rosenior has since guided Chelsea to eight wins in 11 matches in all competitions. He has restored Chelsea’s top-four hopes and qualified for the Champions League last 16.

Only two defeats to rivals Arsenal – a 3-2 home defeat and then a 1-0 loss in the Carabao Cup second leg, Kai Havertz scoring with Chelsea throwing the kitchen sink at The Gunners. An excellent start to life.
Moises Caicedo loved what Liam Rosenior said in first meeting
One tactic that is quite a clear ploy is Rosenior’s usage of one-on-one meetings. Rosenior has suggested that Joao Pedro might be sick of the walls in his office, due to the number of chats he has had with Pedro.
But on his first day, Caicedo told Chelsea’s website that he spoke to Rosenior and clearly, it has inspired the 24-year-old star to become and show why he is one of the best midfielders in the world.

“The first day he came in, I had a meeting with him. We talked about myself because he watched a lot of our games, especially me. So for sure, he wants to help me to become an even better player,” he said.
“That’s why he came here. It’s so good to hear because it helps you to keep doing well and improving. He wants the best for you. I’m trying every day, every game, to show why he said I’m one of the best players.”
What Claude Makelele said about Moises Caicedo
For years, and during the Jose Mourinho era at Chelsea, Claude Makelele was the underrated glue in the middle of the park. He made his defenders look good, and he fed the likes of Frank Lampard and co.

The defensive midfield role is often donned by elder players because they can no longer run as fast as they might have done earlier in their years, but it is often forgotten it requires the best footballing brain.
The Makelele role was coined due to the Frenchman’s stellar form in a Chelsea shirt. Yet, Makelele himself is so impressed with Caicedo, that he feels the Ecuadorian has earned the right to call it the Caicedo role.
“I think it is the ‘Caicedo role’ now. With Caicedo, I love this boy. He’s humble and hard-working. I talked with him before he arrived at Chelsea and he told me I was his example,” Makelele said last summer.
For Caicedo and the rest of his teammates, focus will be on Chelsea’s clash against Burnley. A game that Paul Merson says Chelsea must win, predicting a 3-0 victory, due to the club’s run after Burnley.
