‘Race completely open’ – Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool battle for €65m signing

Nathaniel Brown

COLOGNE, GERMANY – 22 NOVEMBER, 2025: Ron-Robert Zieler, Nathaniel Brown – The football match of Bundesliga 1.FC Koeln vs SG Eintracht Frankfurt at Rhein Energie Stadion.

Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool are among the clubs chasing Eintracht Frankfurt’s Nathaniel Brown, according to Bild.

The Bundesliga side took the left-back from 1. FC Nürnberg in January 2024 and sent him back on loan. He arrived at Eintracht Frankfurt later that year and has been a regular so far.

Brown has played 63 matches and even managed six goals and 13 assists, of which three goals and six assists are from this season. Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool have taken notice of him.

Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool in mix

The 22-year-old has already caught the attention of a few top clubs. In October, Sport Witness covered claims from the German media of Pep Guardiola’s side and the Gunners’ interest.

Bild now pick up on that and cover the latest on Manchester City, Mikel Arteta’s side and the Reds.

It’s claimed scouts and other officials of top European clubs follow the German live in action almost every week.

Manchester City and Barcelona are both keeping a close watch and are regularly collecting information about the fullback. There’s a belief he could fit well at both the Etihad and the Camp Nou.

In addition to these clubs, Arsenal, Liverpool and Real Madrid are also keen on signing the fullback.

Bild add ‘top clubs have made contact’ and ‘the race is completely open’ to secure his services. It isn’t specified whether Manchester City, Arsenal or Liverpool have made any approaches so far.

Brown’s future away from Eintracht Frankfurt

Brown’s exit is ‘highly likely’ in the summer, mainly because the German club won’t be able to hold on to him due to interest from top clubs.

In addition to this, Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche will have to raise funds. Brown is seen as one of the candidates and Bild claim his price is around €65m.

Manchester City and Liverpool have already invested on Rayan Aït-Nouri and Milos Kerkez respectively last summer. It’s unclear whether these two clubs and Arsenal are willing to invest €65m on Brown after this season.
