Liverpool, Arsenal and Man United chasing Wolves midfielder

Premier League leaders Arsenal will hope to return to winning ways when they face rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the north London derby on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners were held to a 2-2 draw by Wolves in their last outing, missing out on the chance to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to seven points.

Mikel Arteta’s side instead sit five points ahead of second-placed Manchester City, but the Citizens have a game-in-hand over the Gunners.

Off the pitch, it has emerged that Arsenal are one of three huge Premier League sides interested in a player that caused them problems for Wolves on Wednesday night.

As reported by CaughtOffside, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester United are all keeping tabs on Wolves midfielder Mateus Mane.

The report claims that several Premier League scouts have been watching and discussing the 18-year-old, while current club Wolves are resigned to losing the youngster this summer with relegation to the Championship almost certain.

Mane joined Wolves’ academy from Rochdale back in 2024 and has since progressed into the first team at Molineux.

The teenager has now made 19 appearances across all competitions, scoring twice and providing the same number of assists.

While Manchester United are said to have shown significant interest in the attacking midfielder, the report suggests that Premier League champions Liverpool are currently leading the race to sign Mane.

It is claimed that the Reds have already held some discussions with the player’s representatives in relation to a possible deal this summer, with talks said to have been ‘positive’.

Mane’s contract with Wolves is set to expire in the summer of 2029, but it appears that he could leave Molineux this summer, with Wolves looking extremely likely to be relegated.
