Xabi Alonso is the most-coveted coach on the market at present and the former Liverpool midfielder has reportedly rejected another job offer this week.
While speculation over Alonso taking over from Arne Slot at Liverpool has died down as the Reds return to form, the Spaniard remains linked with almost every top vacancy.
That included Marseille, who according to French outlet RMC Sport had considered the 44-year-old as an option to replace the departed Roberto De Zerbi.
However it is claimed, via Sky Sports, that Alonso immediately rejected the offer as he feels the club is “too chaotic.”

Marseille went on to appoint Habib Beye, who was sacked from his job at Rennes just 10 days previous, while sporting director Medhi Benatia resigned and then returned to his role in the space of two days.
It should come as no surprise, then, that Alonso would seek more stability at his next club – and it remains to be seen where he will land next.
Liverpool would undoubtedly offer that structure but there are no indications that Slot will be dismissed from his role as head coach as he presides over a run of 19 games in which the Reds have lost just twice.
Slot’s side have also won four of their last five and head to Nottingham Forest on Sunday looking to build on back-to-back victories over Sunderland and Brighton.
Liverpool set to review Arne Slot’s situation in the summer

The only way in which Liverpool would seemingly consider a change in the dugout is if they fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League, with the top five clubs in this season’s Premier League expected to earn a place.
Currently sixth in the table, two points behind fifth-placed Chelsea but also only two points ahead of Brentford, the landscape is not clear with 12 games left to play.
But all parties will be heading into the final months of the season confident that Slot is the right man for the job before the situation is reviewed in the summer.
By that point Slot and his staff will only have one year left on their contracts and a decision will need to be made on whether to renew their deals or consider other options.
Alonso would undoubtedly be one of those if he is still available, but any suggestion he is poised to take over from Slot will rightly be downplayed as it stands.
