Thiago to play for Liverpool again at Anfield! Midfielder joins LFC Legends

Thiago Alcantara will return to Anfield to join the Liverpool FC Legends squad for their match against Borussia Dortmund Legends.

The gifted midfielder, who retired from football two years ago, is set to feature for the first time in the charity event, which kicks off at 3pm GMT on Saturday March 28.

Thiago spent four seasons with Liverpool, making 98 appearances and scoring three goals.

Known for his flair on the ball and remarkable passing ability, he was a central figure as the Reds won both the Emirates FA Cup and Carabao Cup in 2021/22.

The management team for this year’s LFC Foundation charity game has also been confirmed, with Jurgen Klopp, the Foundation’s honorary ambassador, returning to the Anfield dugout to assist manager Sir Kenny Dalglish.

They will be joined on the sidelines by LFC official ambassador and the Reds’ all-time record goalscorer Ian Rush, and Forever Reds chair John Aldridge.
