Arsenal have reportedly made an approach to the representatives of Sporting CP defender Ousmane Diomande.
The 22-year-old centre-back has been heavily linked with a potential move away from the Portuguese giants in recent years.
Several top European clubs have shown interest in the Ivory Coast international, including Arsenal and Chelsea.
Now, a fresh update has emerged regarding Diomande’s future.
According to Portuguese outlet Record, both Arsenal and Chelsea have approached the defender’s camp ahead of a possible summer move.

The Gunners are understood to hold a long-term interest in the Sporting CP star, who signed a new contract until 2030 as recently as January.
Despite the extension, Diomande could still depart Sporting ahead of next season.
Newcastle and Crystal Palace are also mentioned as potential suitors for the highly-rated centre-back.
