Pope will be bitterly disappointed to not leave Azerbaijan with a clean sheet. The Magpies have kept just two clean sheets in their last 13 matches in all competitions.

Trippier has been in fine form of late and whilst he will likely be due a rest when Lewis Miley returns from injury, or possibly even on Tuesday night against Qarabag, he will almost certainly be asked to start again at the Etihad Stadium.

Malick Thiaw
Thiaw netted another goal on Wednesday night as he continued his impressive form in front of goal. He will have to be at his best defensively this weekend, though, against a fearsome Manchester City attack.
