Liverpool to complete£30m signing'in coming weeks', plans to announce deal still fluid

Liverpool are now seemingly nailed on to sign Palmeiras forward Allan, with the Reds tipped to complete the signing in the coming weeks, according to reports from Brazil.

The 19-year-old was unknown to most Liverpool fans before this week, but it now appears as though he will be on his way to Anfield in the summer transfer window.

Reports first broke this week with a report from Brazil stating that Liverpool are close to agreeing terms with Palmeiras to sign Allan. It was claimed that he would not join the club until the 2027 January transfer window but that is now being contradicted.

Liverpool set to complete £30m Allan transfer in the ‘coming weeks’

According to Brazilian reporter Robson Morelli, Liverpool have ‘right to first refusal’ for Allan. Right of first refusal (ROFR) in football is a clause in a contract that grants a club the first opportunity to match an offer for a player before he joins another team.

Morelli reports: “The deal is expected to take place in the coming weeks, most likely with the Brazilian player being presented after the World Cup.”

Details on when Allan would be announced as a new Liverpool player are fluid but with more and more reports adding their weight to these claims, it does seem as though the Brazilian star is heading to Merseyside this summer.

Morelli adds that the fee for this transfer will be around £30m which has been widely reported in Brazil and England.

Liverpool moving early ahead of the summer transfer window

With Allan likely to join Liverpool this summer, he will be the second signing FSG have lined up ahead of the 2026-27 season.

A £60m deal has already been signed and completed for Jeremy Jacquet and if a £30m fee is accurate for Allan, Liverpool will be certain to cross the £100m mark this summer.

There aren’t many players heavily linked with summer exits so net spend might not be the biggest concern for Liverpool’s owners, although that doesn’t track with the Americans’ history of operations at Anfield.
