JJ Redick reveals second-half thoughts as Lakers' health improves

The Los Angeles Lakers return to action Friday night against the Los Angeles Clippers following All-Star festivities.

Luckily for them and head coach JJ Redick, the Lakers are now fully healthy.

After players took time to rest and recover over break, the Lakers' injury report is completely clear.

This is exactly what Lakers fans want to hear, as the team has dealt with various injuries to Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves and LeBron James all season.

In fact, the trio has played in just 10 games together this year, out of a possible 54.

JJ Redick spoke to the media about the Lakers' situation, stressing the importance of a late season push.

"It's just the situation we're in. We're not the only team that has had a bunch of health issues throughout the season and had to manage that, but my message to the players this morning was that this is going to be a sprint for these last 28 games."

Austin Reaves, now no longer on a minutes restriction chimed in as well, saying: "You can tell throughout the season, even with the unfortunate injuries, we've done a good job maintaining it. We're on pace for a good record and getting healthy is going to help that."

Friday, they'll face a good test, as the new-look Clippers have won four of their last five games, including Thursday night's victory against the Denver Nuggets.

Following Friday's game, the Lakers will host the Celtics and Magic at home before a brief two-game road trip against some of their Pacific Division rivals.
