Fans Send Support To Russell Westbrook's Wife After Despicable Message

NBA fans around the world are keeping Russell Westbrook and his family in their thoughts this Friday.

Westbrook, a former MVP and nine-time All-Star, is averaging 15.1 points and 6.5 assists per game this season for the Sacramento Kings. Although he's been productive for the majority of this season, the veteran guard struggled on Thursday night against the Orlando Magic. He scored just 5 points in 17 minutes of action.

After the Magic-Kings game ended on Thursday, an angry NBA fan sent Westbrook's wife a disturbing email. The person said they want Nina and Russell Westbrook to "die in a car crash."

This irate fan wasn't done. Their rant also included this message: "Your piece of f---in s--- husband sucks to f----n bad can't even get 1o points is pathetic."

Nina shared a screenshot of this email on Instagram for the whole world to see.

"The negative effects of sports betting," Westbrook's wife wrote.

No place in sports for this behavior.

"Russell Westbrook's wife, Nina Westbrook, receives an email from an angry fan. Please leave his wife and family alone," one person said. "This isn't the 1st time. It's frustrating and sad that this is happening again."

"This is unacceptable, we need to remember that these people are also humans like us," a fan wrote.

"This behavior is weird and will forever be weird," a second fan declared.

"Never let a lost bet turn into harassment of an athlete or their loved ones," another fan commented.

The Kings will return to action Saturday night against the San Antonio Spurs.

Hopefully, NBA fans bettors refrain from sending any despicable messages to players and their family members.
