Liverpool have been linked to left-back Nathaniel Brown, a known area of focus for the club in the summer, while there has been an update on the details of Harvey Elliott‘s buy clause.
Liverpool named as suitors for Frankfurt left-back Nathaniel Brown
Liverpool are reportedly in the mix for Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Brown, with German outlet BILD claiming the club are on the player’s shortlist.
Brown, who was teammates with Hugo Ekitike, has been watched by scouts from across Europe, with Barcelona, Man City, Arsenal and Real Madrid all namechecked.
The race for his signature is described as “wide open” as an exit is “highly likely” in the summer due to the interest and the fee Frankfurt could bank for the defender.

BILD report his price tag is in the region of €65 million (£56.7m), with sporting director Markus Krosche expected to attempt to make him the most expensive left-back, surpassing Marc Cucurella’s €65.3m move to Chelsea.
The Reds will be expected to be in the market for a left-back with Andy Robertson out of contract and Kostas Tsimikas not deemed at the level required.
Brown fits the mould of a player with attacking capabilities that is a “perfect fit for a possession-based style,” but we would say don’t go detective mode on the 22-year-old just yet!

Forest Q&A: What to expect on Sunday
Ahead of Sunday’s match at the City Ground, This Is Anfield spoke to Forest fan and podcaster Matt Davies and found out if the sacking of Sean Dyche was for the best:
“Ultimately yes.
“Sean Dyche was getting results and might have kept us up, but on the balance of what we saw, I’m not sure he is actually a good manager.
“The players seemed to feel the same way, based on reports after his sacking.
“He did have a positive early impact and the football was decent, but we got progressively worse before a strong January.”

• The FA have shied away from making an example out of Man United co-owner Jim Ratcliffe after his disgusting ‘colonisation’ comments, instead reminding him of his responsibilities. Not surprised, just disappointed (BBC)
