Patriots Coach Makes Special Visit To Red Sox Spring Training Complex

The Boston Red Sox welcomed a special guest to spring training on Friday: New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.

McDaniels, less than two weeks removed from a loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX, seemingly mixed business with pleasure as he was seen talking with several of his local colleagues while also soaking up the sun at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers, Fla.

McDaniels was shown talking shop with Red Sox manager Alex Cora in a video shared by WEEI’s Rob Bradford.

It’s just the latest example of local coaches leaning on each other and sharing experiences. The Patriots have welcomed members of the Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics to practices across the last couple of offseasons.

“We’re always available to them, they’re always available to us,” Cora said of his relationship with fellow coaches in Boston back in 2023.

The Red Sox and Patriots will hope this little reunion has a positive impact on both organizations moving forward.
