“That Boy Different”: Jaylen Waddle Drops Honest Reaction to Tyreek Hill’s Shocking Injury…

Tyreek Hill had an unfortunate season which was derailed by his team’s performance on the field and his personal injury. The wide receiver missed the majority of the campaign due to a horrific injury, while his team the Miami Dolphins missed the playoffs after a 7-10 record in the regular season.

Now left without a team, the player is trying his best to return stronger than ever before as revealed by his former teammate Jaylen Waddle.

Hill had a devastating knee injury early in the 2025 NFL season, which happened in Week 4 against the New York Jets. He tore his ACL and dislocated his knee, which sidelined him for the remainder of the season. Furthermore, his contract with the franchise expired and he is now in free agency after being released due to his huge salary cap hit, age, and the injury which is expected to sideline him for a long time.

His Dolphins teammate and fellow wide receiver Waddle recently appeared on “The Set with Terron Armstead”. It is hosted by former Dolphins offensive lineman Terron Armstead. Waddle revealed that Hill was already working towards his recovery and that only two months after his horrific injury, he was squatting weights. Affectionately nicknamed “Cheetah” for his elite speed on the field, Hill has never been one to back down.

Waddle said enthusiastically that Hill will come back stronger, “That boy different. He’s gonna come back CRAZY. You know Cheetah — he feels like people doubting him now.” This is impressive considering that injuries like this usually have a 9-12 month rehab period. He could return at the start of the 2026 season, though realistically it could be a few more weeks after the beginning.

Ahead of the next season, Hill is still in free agency with no teams taking him on. A number of franchises are considering taking him on.

Teams interested in Tyreek Hill

Since he is working towards his recovery, Hill is determined to return to the NFL. There were rumors he could retire due to being 31-years-old and his injury, but it doesn’t look that way. He posted a goodbye message on Instagram that said, “And right now, this off season, for the first time ever, The Cheetah is all the way turned up and locked in. Focused.”

While there is doubt among teams due to him no longer being in his prime, some still value his experience and talents. Potential landing spots for the player include a reunion with the Kansas City Chiefs, while other options include the New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Chargers, and the San Francisco 49ers.

While there is interest, there is still no deal close to being made. It remains to be seen where Tyreek Hill ends up before the 2026 NFL season begins.
