De'Andre Hunter was acquired by Sacramento from the previous NBA trade deadline this season.
Sacramento Kings forward De'Andre Hunter will undergo a season-ending eye surgery, per NBA insiders Chris Haynes and Marc Stein.
Sacramento Kings / Schedule
Hunter was slated to miss his fifth consecutive game, as the Kings already ruled him out on Saturday against the San Antonio Spurs.
He originally suffered a left eye injury during the third quarter of their 114-111 loss against the LA Clippers last Feb. 6.
Hunter was acquired by the Kings from the Cleveland Cavaliers ahead of this season's NBA trade deadline. In a three-team deal along with the Chicago Bulls, the Kings sent Dennis Schroder and Keon Ellis to the Cavs.
Hunter appeared in just two games wearing a Sacramento uniform. His 2025-26 season officially ends with an average of 13.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists in 26.1 minutes while shooting 41.5 percent from the field.
Hunter joins franchise stars Zach LaVine and Domantas Sabonis among Kings players who are set for season-ending surgeries.
