The New England Patriots might be aiming to select a wide receiver with their first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. According to Chad Graff of The Athletic, there is a specific wide receiver New England should consider targeting.
Graff believes that Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston could be a great fit for the Patriots and thinks he’s worth considering with New England's 31st overall pick.
"Mack Hollins was a serviceable big-bodied possession wide receiver for the Patriots," Graff wrote on Thursday. "But Boston could help elevate the offense by playing in that same role. He’s 6-foot-4 and had an elite drop percentage of just 3.1 in college."
Boston played four seasons with Washington, during which he amassed 1,781 receiving yards and scored 20 touchdowns over the course of 43 games.
With Boston's impressive frame, Drake Maye could effectively utilize him in the red zone, where he can go up and snag balls that are otherwise out of reach for defenders.
The Patriots could be bringing in a handful of wide receivers this offseason, and if they manage to add depth to their receiving corps, New England's offense might become even stronger than it was last season.
