Liverpool must replace Mohamed Salah in the coming years or face a massive downgrade on the right wing.
There are very few players out there like Salah. While the Egyptian has not been himself this season, he set new standards for forwards in England with his 34 goals and 23 assists last season.
One player in his position is putting up those same numbers and his name is Michael Olise.
The former Crystal Palace winger has been sensational since he traded London for Munich in 2023.
This season, with a few months to go, Olise already has 13 goals and 25 assists.
Although some critics say it’s because he’s playing in the Bundesliga and not the more demanding Premier League, he’s also shining in the Champions League. With one goal and five assists in eight games, the 24-year-old is not just farming goal contributions in Germany.

The combination of his maturation as a player and playing with a more gifted group of players than at Palace has seen him explode into life these last two years.
Frank Leboeuf petitions Liverpool to sign Michael Olise
Speaking to ESPN, Frank Leboeuf has urged Liverpool to spend the money that it will take to poach Olise from Bayern Munich.
He said: “Michael Olise, he has proven since he left Crystal Palace that he’s a world-class player.
“Had no issues whatsoever to settle down in the Bundesliga in Bayern with the pressure that you can have in that club. His finesse, his consistency, made him one of the best players in this position.
“So yeah, that would be for me a clear choice if I was the Liverpool board.”
Of course, if recent reports are to be believed, Liverpool will need to spend an extraordinary sum to convince Bayern to part ways with the French assist king.
Liverpool must pay in the region of £174m to sign Olise, according to reports from Spain. While it’s not likely FSG would ever spend that much on a single player, the Reds could fetch a tidy sum if they sell Salah to the Saudi Pro League.
