There has been a lot of talk about Liverpool signing Brazilian talent Allan Elias recently.
Earlier this week, we saw Brazilian outlet The Football claim that Liverpool were ‘beginning to finalise’ a deal for Allan.
It was claimed that a deal was expected to be completed ‘in the coming weeks’ and the transfer fee was likely to be around €35m.
You get to add one Nottingham Forest player to Liverpool’s squad, who you picking and why?

An interesting sum, especially given that the player has a £87m release clause in his Palmeiras contract.
However, it now looks as though talk of a deal being close was actually not the case.
Liverpool don’t have deal in place for Allan Elias
Brazilian outlet iG Esporte have provided a further update on the situation, saying: “Allan, 21, has been the target of strong interest from the European market.
“However, according to reporting by iG Esporte, Palmeiras has no agreement or advanced negotiations at the moment for the sale of the attacking midfielder, who has been linked to Liverpool in recent days. “

They add that while Allan could move at some point, a potential transfer is not expected to take place until after the 2026 World Cup is over this summer.
Palmeiras still consider him an important part of the squad and rejected an offer from Napoli for the player in the winter transfer window.

Palmeiras manager speaks on Allan transfer
Now 21, Allan has made 64 appearances for the Brazilian side’s first team, scoring five and assisting six.
He has so far featured on 10 occasions in the current campaign, and after a recent clash, manager Abel Ferreira urged Palmeiras not to sell the reported Liverpool target.
He said: “These are players who give us a lot of trouble. What saddens me is that, when they’re ready, you have to sell them. We had to sell Endrick, Estêvão, Vitor Reis, and now Allan.
“Palmeiras, at this moment, is in a position to choose when it can and cannot sell players. That’s why we worked together with the finance department and the board. The coach is much more than just what happens on the pitch.”
