LeBron regrets not playing with Kawhi: 'I was disappointed'

LeBron James was full of praise for Kawhi Leonard after the Los Angeles Derby with Lakers beating Clippers in crunch time. James feels regret for not playing with Leonard at the 2024 Olympics due to Leonard's injury.

Los Angeles Lakers managed to prevail and beat the Los Angeles Clippers in the Crypto.com Arena, 125-122.

Kawhi Leonard was the Clippers' top scorer with 31 points in 30 minutes, but he missed the final phase of the game with left ankle soreness, limping towards the bench during a timeout.

LeBron James was full of praise for Leonard after the match:

“Kawhi is awesome, man. He’s the best. He’s one of the best players ever. I couldn’t care less about the injuries; that guy is awesome," James started.

"I swear I have nothing but great things to say about Kawhi and the type of basketball that he’s been playing the last couple of months. I was disappointed during the 2024 Olympic team when he wasn’t able to join us."

"Listen, he had 31 points in 12 minutes [at the All-Star Game]. He’s awesome. I could speak about him all night," he concluded.

Leonard has played 43 games this season, averaging 27.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists.
