Liam Rosenior and the people close to him have admitted that early concerns regarding Cole Palmer and his Chelsea co-stars have been proved wrong.
Many had doubts over Liam Rosenior when he was appointed as Chelsea boss, with supporters feeling it was the cheap and easy way out after seeing Enzo Maresca depart.
However, he’s proven those doubters wrong already. Rosenior has won eight, drawn one and lost two, with both of those losses coming to Arsenal in the Carabao Cup.
One of the most impressive things has been how he’s dealt with big-profile players like Cole Palmer, with his man management there for all to see. Whether it’s clips of banter on social media or private chats.
Especially when you consider all the rumours involving Palmer and Manchester United towards the start of Rosenior’s reign at Stamford Bridge.

Thoughts, Blues?
Liam Rosenior’s camp thought Cole Palmer might have an ego
A report from the Standard claimed that people close to Liam Rosenior were worried about whether Cole Palmer and other big stars would buy into his approach.
The lack of respect was one of the big worries.
However, he has since concluded the squad does not have big egos, and he commands more respect with every passing win.
Even Liam Rosenior touched on it himself, stating that people who thought Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez and Palmer may have egos have it all wrong.
How Liam Rosenior has neutralised any big egos
Since his appointment, Liam Rosenior has defied early skepticism regarding his ability to manage a squad filled with £100m+ co-stars. He has adopted a people-first philosophy, notably bonding with Cole Palmer and Enzo Fernandez through what he calls natural relationships.
His recent interaction at Molineux, where Palmer jokingly crashed Rosenior’s post-match interview following a hat-trick, served as a public signal that the squad’s biggest names have bought into his vision.
Rosenior has also been praised for his ego-free coaching style, publicly crediting the players’ work rate for Chelsea’s seven wins in his first nine games.
Even Enzo Fernandez, who was linked to Paris Saint-Germain, has been reinvigorated by Rosenior’s personal touch, with the midfielder even thanking him.
