Pre-Match Analysis: Tottenham host a mouth-watering North London Derby

On Sunday afternoon, Igor Tudor takes charge of Tottenham for the first time as the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium prepares for the visit of North London counterparts **Arsenal**in Premier League action.

The result could have massive ramifications at both the top and the bottom of the table as Spurs' will hope not to be drawn into a relegation battle and **Arsenal**will be wary of any dropped points that could see their title dream left in tatters with Manchester City ready to pounce.

Tottenham welcomed Newcastle on 10th February, but fell to a 2-1 defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Malick Thiaw opened the scoring deep into first half injury time to ensure the visitors went into the break with the lead.

Archie Gray got Tottenham back on level terms just after the hour mark, but it would be short lived as midfielder Jacob Ramsey struck just four minutes later to restore the Newcastle lead.

The visitors saw the game out to go back to Tyneside with all three points. The result turned out to be Thomas Frank's final game in charge as the board decided he wasn't the man to take the Lilywhites' forward.

Arsenal travelled to Molineux on Wednesday evening and let a 2-0 lead slip away against the Premier League's bottom side Wolves.

The Gunners' went into the break 1-0 up thanks to Bukayo Saka in the a 5th minute. Arsenal double their lead ten minutes after the restart, thanks to a strike from defender Piero Hincapie.

With Arsenal in complete control of the game, Wolves' Hugo Bueno hit one in the top corner just after the hour to give the hosts a gilmar of hope of getting back into the game, and in the 94th minute they did just that, as Tom Edozie in his first Premier League appearance hit one into the net, to send Molineux into ecstasy and the visitors into despair.

**Tottenham**haven't beaten Arsenal since May 2022 as they came away 3-0 winners at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Son Heung-Min was fouled by Cedric Soares in the penalty area and up stepped Harry Kane to convert from 12 yards into the bottom right hand corner to give ***Spurs***the lead twenty minutes in.

Ten minutes later, Arsenal found themselves down to 10 men following Rob Holding's challenge on Son which saw Paul Tierney brandish a second yellow card to the defender.

The hosts took control of the contest five minutes later, after Kane headed from close range into the bottom left of the net, after a Son corner was flicked on by midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur.

Spurs ensured the three points just after the restart as Son hit one from the centre of the box into the bottom right hand corner, after Kane forced Gabriel to toe the ball right into the path of Son, leaving Aaron Ramsdale helpless in the **Arsenal**net.

The last time the two sides met was back in November, Tottenham's miserable record continued against their North London rivals as Spurs were beaten 4-1 at the Emirates.

Arsenal were 3-0 up by the 46th minute thanks to goals from Leandro Trossard, and a brace from Eberechi Eze. Richarlison presented Tottenham a chance to get back into the game following his 55th minute strike, but Eze and Arsenal had other ideas when he bagged his hat-trick 15 minutes from time as The Gunners claimed the North London bragging rights.
