Chelsea dropped yet more points from a winning position in the Premier League against Burnley, however Liam Rosenior was notably fuming throughout the game.
Joao Pedro’s early goal set the Blues on their way, however they struggled to create any clear-cut chances after that to extend their advantage.
When Wesley Fofana was sent off in the second half, there was an inevitability around the situation, and Zion Flemming headed home with moments to go.

Liam Rosenior furious with Moises Caicedo, Wesley Fofana, Malo Gusto and Andrey Santos during draw with Burnley
Rosenior will be furious despite his side temporarily returning to the top four, however various passages of play noticeably caused him a lot of anger.
Journalist Lloyd Canfield went into detail on one moment in the first half, where Moises Caicedo giving the ball away eventually ended up with Fofana picking up the first of his two yellow cards.

He said: “Rosenior not at all happy with that passage of play: Caicedo backheeled the ball and lost it, Santos headed it back to a Burnley player, Gusto hooked it out of play, then Fofana gave away a foul on the edge of the box to pick up a yellow.”
The boss won’t have known at this point just how costly this would end up being to his side’s chances, with the biggest issue of the 2025/26 season continuing to present itself.
It’s getting ridiculous now 😡
How can Liam Rosenior stop this?

Chelsea blow their big top four chance
Twice in the last two games Chelsea have been in a winning position which would see them strengthen their place in the top four.
Now though, they will have to wait and see how Liverpool and Manchester United get on, and potentially see that position slip away.
It has to be concerning for everyone at the club just how many red cards the Blues have picked up this season, and how many points that has directly cost them.
