Tom Brady has spent 23 years building the most decorated résumé in NFL history with seven Super Bowl rings, five Super Bowl MVPs, and three NFL MVP awards. He also holds the all-time records for passing yards (89,214) and touchdown passes (649).
Under Bill Belichick’s New England Patriots dynasty, Brady won six of his record seven titles, operating one of the most well-oiled systems the sport has ever seen. After retiring ‘for good’ in 2023, he eventually secured a 5% minority ownership stake in the Las Vegas Raiders.
Plus, he transitioned to the lead analyst role on Fox Sports’ NFL coverage in late 2024. While he faced early criticism for a ‘choppy cadence’ and ‘stilted delivery’ during his rookie season, he has shown significant improvement in comfort and technical breakdown throughout 2025 and early 2026.
That reputation apparently gave him enough confidence to weigh in on a world he’s never set foot in, like WWE, and it cost him.
Paul Heyman claps back at Tom Brady’s cute WWE take
Appearing on Logan Paul’s “Impaulsive” podcast recently, Brady got into a debate with Paul over who is the superior athlete: NFL players or WWE Superstars.

Brady named Saquon Barkley, Odell Beckham Jr., and Justin Jefferson as his examples of elite athleticism. When Logan Paul asked if Brady had seen his springboard moonsault from SummerSlam 2024, Brady “blew right through that question,” showing no interest in the feat.
When asked about WWE more broadly, Bradysaid, “It’s cute. I love WWE, it’s very cute. But honestly, this is like real football, real competition.”
The word “cute” traveled fast. Sports Illustrated captured the WWE’s collective response at the WWE 2K Creator Fest, and Paul Heyman, longtime special counsel to Roman Reigns, had the most pointed answer for the NFL’s GOAT quarterback.

He shrugged off Brady’s seven rings entirely, crediting everyone around Brady instead. Heymansaid, “What’s Tom Brady done? He’s thrown a football across a field that was caught by Gronkowski. Gronkowski deserves the credit. Belichick and his girlfriend deserve the credit. But Tom Brady? Nuh-uh.”

He took to social media to challenge Brady to a mic battle on WWE Raw, posting, “If Tom Brady thinks Nikki Glaser ripped him up at the Roast, he has no idea what Logan Paul and I would do to him on the mic in front of a live WWE audience on Netflix!”
Brady, however, has remained silent. In the process, Heyman’s track record of making opponents look small with a microphone has proven successful again.
