Scott Parker was left with mixed feelings of pride and a twinge of frustration following Burnley’s dramatic draw against Chelsea.

But Parker actually felt his side could and perhaps should have won the game, with Jacob Bruun Larsen missing a carbon copy of Flemming’s goal right at the death.
“I’m really proud of the group,” Parker said afterwards. “But I think we’re probably a little bit frustrated too.
“We missed a massive chance at the end there which maybe could have been a little bit different, but overall couldn't have asked much more from the group.
“We let ourselves down last weekend with the [FA Cup] result we had coming off the back of a brilliant result away at Crystal Palace and the noise intensified at that moment.
“But again, the players have shown real resilience again today, going a goal down so early in a place like this, and the level and quality we were playing against.

“We stayed in the game and grew stronger into the game, certainly in the first half, and then managed to get the equaliser.

“And like I said, probably a little bit frustrated maybe at the back end that we couldn't manage to get the three points.”
Even while it remained 11 vs 11, Parker was happy with the way his players approached the game.
“I thought overall today, in terms of the players executing the game plan, was spot on,” he added.
“Chelsea are really dominant through the middle of the pitch. They're always trying to get the Palmer’s and the Fernandez’s and play through the middle. But I thought we protected the middle really well. We had to slow the game down in terms of slowing their tempo down.
“But I thought what we were really good at today, which we wanted us to be, was aggressive in certain states where we could lift from certain positions and I thought we did that very well. “But look, Chelsea are an unbelievable team, with quality players and a very good team. We just did very well today and managed to get points.”
