Cole Palmer left furious with late Liam Rosenior decision during Chelsea vs Burnley

There was frustration throughout Stamford Bridge when Chelsea threw away yet more Premier League points against Burnley, with no one more irritated than Cole Palmer.

The Blues were held to a 1-1 draw with Burnley at Stamford Bridge despite the fact Joao Pedro’s goal gave them the lead just four minutes in.

As has been the case all too often this season, Chelsea dropped points from a winning position when Zian Flemming headed home from a corner in added time at the end of the game.

It’s getting ridiculous now 😡

How can Liam Rosenior stop this?

Cole Palmer furious after being subbed off by Liam Rosenior

The Blues weren’t in any danger at all until Wesley Fofana was sent off in the second half for a second bookable offence. The period that saw him booked in the first half notably frustrated Rosenior.

The manager reacted to the red card by bringing on Tosin Adarabioyo for Cole Palmer, a decision which clearly didn’t sit well with the England international.

Clinton Morrison was watching the game for Sky Sports, and he stated that Palmer was shaking his head in response to being brought off as Chelsea looked to maintain their lead.

He said: “He’s not happy. I don’t know if it’s about his minutes or something. He’s shaking his head and taking an age to come off the pitch. He’s not happy.”

Palmer had really found his form in front of goal before this game. He had contributed to five goals in the preceding two fixtures.

Who starts in place of Wesley Fofana against Arsenal?🤔

Red cards cost Chelsea yet again

No Chelsea fan needs reminding of how many red cards their side have had this season, and how they have cost them in key moments.

Robert Sanchez’s early sending off at Old Trafford ended their hopes of a win over Manchester United before they had even begun, while they dropped three points after Trevoh Chalobah was sent off against Brighton.

Chelsea were in no danger today until Fofana left the field of play, and they can only blame their own discipline again for the reason they have drawn this game.

The Frenchman will now not be available for the Blues when they make the short trip across London to take on Arsenal.
