A member of the loan army at La Liga champions Barcelona has on Saturday secured for himself a place in the headlines.
This comes owing to his exploits during AS Monaco’s Ligue 1 meeting with Lens.
Table-topping Lens played host to Monaco a short time ago, in the knowledge that a victory would see them, at least temporarily, open a four-point advantage over Paris Saint-Germain atop the French top-flight table.
And with an hour on the clock, the former appeared to be well on their way to precisely that, leading by two goals to nil.
Visitors Monaco, however, had other ideas…
After Folarin Balogun and Denis Zakaria drew the Monegasques on level terms, it was Ansu Fati who proved himself the game’s decisive figure.
Introduced off the bench a short time prior, attacker Ansu netted the evening’s 5th and final goal, courtesy of a composed chip.
This marked the 9th goal of what has been a somewhat hit-and-miss campaign for the Barcelona man, featuring just 20 appearances in all competitions.
