Two people were hospitalized after an apartment fire Saturday evening in East Garfield Park on the West Side.
The two-alarm fire broke out sometime before 6:30 p.m. in the 3400 block of West Madison Street, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
Two people were taken to area hospitals with unspecified injuries, fire officials said.
There were about 20 residents were displaced due to the fire, according to Chicago police scanner audio.
The cause of the fire wasn’t immediately known.
