Vikings WR Rondale Moore Dead at 25

Rondale Moore, currently of the Minnesota Vikings, has been pronounced dead on Saturday.

Per WLKY News Louisville, a Floyd County Coroner pronounced Moore deceased. An autopsy is scheduled, and his cause of death was just revealed by another source.

Per Ahmad Hicks of FOX9 Minneapolis, Moore was found dead in his garage*.*

“According to the New Albany police chief, Todd Bailey. Rondale Moore (age 25) was found deceased in the garage of the property of a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound. An investigation is underway.”

Moore was going to turn 26 in June.

Rondale Moore Passes Away at 25

Minnesota Vikings receiver, Rondale Moore, who suffered a season-ending injury in the first pre-season game of the 2025 season.

The former Cardinals‘ second round selection wassigned by the Vikings ahead of the 2025 season. Moore never truly got to show his stuff, as he sustained ACL tears in back-to-back years. In 2024, Moore tore his ACL in camp with the Falcons.

His 2025 injury came at the beginning of the Vikings’ first preseason game.Moore appeared in 39 career games, all with the Cardinals from 2021 to 2023. He totaled 1,201 yards on 40 receptions and 3 touchdowns.

Rondale was born in New Albany Indiana on June 9th, 2000. He played high school ball in Louisville at Trinity High School.

Moore played his college ball at Purdue. At Purdue, he caught 178 passes for 1,915 yards, and 14 touchdowns. He left quite the legacy as a Boilermaker.

This is the second death in less than two years of an active player on the Vikings’ roster. 2024 draft pick Khyree Jackson was tragically killed in July of 2024 in a car accident.

Former first round selection Jeff Gladney selection also passed away in 2022 as a member of the Arizona Cardinals roster.
