Player Ratings: Osasuna 2–1 Real Madrid

**Thibaut Courtois – 6.5**

Made one absolutely godly save in the first half. Conceded a penalty — a harsh call, but he took a risk coming off his line. The other goal came from a tight angle. Not much he could do beyond that.

**Dani Carvajal – 3**

Ripped apart by Víctor Muñoz. Struggled badly with the high line and couldn’t prevent crosses. Looks short of match fitness and a step behind physically.

**Raúl Asencio – 4**

All over the place defensively. Had trouble holding his ground in duels and never looked settled.

**David Alaba – 5**

Hit two dangerous shots in the first half and made an important block and clearance. But Budimir’s physicality gave him real problems, and he looks a step slow at this stage.

**Álvaro Carreras – 6**

The best of the back line, which isn’t saying much. Competed well in duels and held up relatively fine under pressure.

**Aurélien Tchouaméni – 6**

Loose on the ball in key moments, but his counter-pressing was strong and he put out a couple fires defensively.

**Eduardo Camavinga – 5.5**

Played more centrally and high up the pitch, and couldn’t influence the game the way he did in Lisbon. Fine, but not decisive.

**Arda Güler – 4**

Still struggling to find his footing in Arbeloa’s system. Not as sharp with his final ball and didn’t turn out of pressure as cleanly in deeper zones.

**Fede Valverde – 8**

One of Madrid’s best. His drive through the lines created the goal, and the team noticeably collapsed after he was subbed off. His presence was irreplaceable tonight.

**Kylian Mbappé – 3**

Poor finishing and uninspiring off-ball movement. He’s in a bad run of form, and it’s affecting his confidence and sharpness.

**Vinícius Jr. – 8**

Along with Valverde, carried the team. Repeatedly tried to break lines, created danger on his own, and attacked his goal brilliantly. Took initiative when others wouldn’t.

**Trent Alexander-Arnold – 5.5**

Announced himself with a brilliant diagonal switch to Vinícius on his first touch. Defensively, though, he struggled at times.

**Brahim Díaz –** 5

Nearly had an assist before Mbappé was ruled offside. Slightly redundant profile given the players already on the pitch, but that’s more structural than individual.

**Gonzalo García – 4**

Misused. Just four touches, only one in the box. The team desperately needed a presence there, but the substitutions pinned Madrid back. He should have come on for Mbappé, not Valverde.

**Dani Ceballos – 2**

Very poor. Bad decision-making, careless giveaways, and no positive influence on the game.
