The final images on Rondale Moore’s social media account now carry a weight nobody could have anticipated.

Three days before the Minnesota Vikings wide receiver was found dead at age 25, Moore shared a quiet Instagram slideshow showing slices of everyday life rather than football. Moore’s career began with enormous expectations long before he reached the NFL. A four-star recruit from Trinity High School in Louisville, Kentucky, he was ranked the No. 1 player in the state in the 2018 class and chose Purdue over several major programs.

He immediately became one of college football’s most electrifying players. As a freshman in 2018, Moore recorded 1,258 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns, adding rushing production and return yards to finish with over 2,000 all-purpose yards.

He earned the Paul Hornung Award as the nation’s most versatile player and consensus All-American honors after one of the most productive debut seasons in Big Ten history.
