Arsenal are hoping to turn the screw even further when they head to Tottenham for a 4.30pm kickoff today.
The Gunners are currently on a seven-match unbeaten run against their North London rivals, having bagged eight victories from the past ten encounters. It's been a particularly fine and long run of good form for Arsenal, who have historically won 45 of the last North London Derbys to Tottenham's 29.
This match represents a clash of extremes: Arsenal enters as league leaders and title favourites, while Tottenham are mired in a relegation battle and have just undergone a managerial change. Tottenham recently dismissed head coach Thomas Frank following a terrible run of form.
Igor Tudor has been appointed as the new head coach and will lead the team for the first time in this derby. Tudor inherits a side that is currently 16th in the Premier League and has not won a league match yet in 2026.
The unthinkable has started to seem possible for Tottenham, who now sit in 16th and just five points above the drop zone.

Captain Cristian Romero remains unavailable due to suspension.
The Gunners are also facing fitness concerns following recent fixtures, with William Saliba (illness), Kai Havertz (muscle), and Mikel Merino (foot) all out. Martin Ødegaard missed the recent FA Cup tie against Wigan, while Riccardo Calafiori and Ben White are being monitored after recent knocks.
