Cooper Flagg has been officially ruled out for the Mavericks game against the Pacers due to a left midfoot sprain, marking his third straight absence.
The Dallas Mavericks will try to end their 10-game losing streak against the Indiana Pacers on Sunday night, but they will once again be without Cooper Flagg.
Indiana Pacers / Schedule
The Mavericks officially ruled Flagg out due to a lingering left midfoot sprain. It will be his third straight regular-season game on the sidelines. The injury also forced him to miss the Rising Stars Challenge during All-Star weekend.
Flagg last played on Feb. 10 against the Phoenix Suns. Since then, Dallas has had to adjust its rotation without the rookie who has been a key piece on both ends of the floor.
The No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft has played 49 games this season. He is averaging 20.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.
Even with the recent absence, Flagg remains the favorite to win NBA Rookie of the Year. If he secures the award, he would become just the third player in Mavericks history to win it, joining head coach Jason Kidd and Luka Doncic.
