Arsenal will hope that their experiences of the past few years won’t haunt them again, as they drew 2-2 against Wolves during the week.

Experience could be what the Gunners need to get across the line, but it is something that Arteta’s side lacks, in terms of experience winning league titles. So, they could opt to get in an experienced winner in the summer.

Arsenal target Leon Goretzka leaning towards PL move

Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka is due to be a free agent in the summer, as his contract at Bayern Munich is due to expire after a spell of eight years with the German giants.

Goretzka has been a big part of Bayern’s recent success, winning six Bundesliga titles, and making almost 300 appearances for the club.

According to German news outlet Bild, Goretzka has been subject to interest from Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, and Bayer Leverkusen, however, he is ‘leaning towards’ a move to the Premier League, which would put the Gunners at the front of the queue for the 31-year-old German international.

Goretzka could replace Norgaard

Christian Norgaard joined Arsenal in the summer from Brentford, and he was signed as a depth piece in midfield with experience in the Premier League.

However, the Danish international has made just four Premier League appearances this season, and is yet to make a start in the league. Reports in January already suggested he could leave the club within a year of arriving.

If Norgaard were to leave in the summer, Arsenal could replace him with Goretzka, who also has experience, but he has more experience in winning big titles such as the Bundesliga and the Champions League.
