Liverpool have now won three games in eight days after they beat Nottingham Forest 1-0.
A good performance? Definitely not, but a win is a win and it has put the Reds level on points with Manchester United for the time being.
Liverpool fans questioned Arne Slot during the game when he decided to start Curtis Jones in midfield ahead of Dominik Szoboszlai.
Surely there’s no way back to Salah’s best from here?

It was a decision that really hampered the away side’s ability to create anything of note.
But one call the Dutchman did get right en route to the 1-0 win was bringing on Rio Ngumoha.
Rio Ngumoha did more than Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo vs Nottingham Forest
Liverpool fans have been calling for Ngumoha to play more under Slot this season, and it is easy to see why.
The winger looked sharp out on the right and nearly got himself a pre-assist when his cross to Hugo Ekitike led to Alexis Mac Allister scoring, but it was ruled out by VAR.

Regardless, the impact of the teenager was clear, and he received high praise from Jamie Carragher immediately after the game.
Speaking live on Sky Sports’ coverage of the fixture, Carragher said Rio did more than Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo and urged the youngster to be given more starts moving forward.
He said: “What I will say is, there was a player who came on for Liverpool, Rio Nguomha, who came on in the 77th minute.
“He did more in 15 minutes than Salah and Gakpo had done up until that point. He absolutely changed the game, and he needs more of an opportunity; he does, he needs to start starting games.”
Change my mind Rio Ngumoha was Liverpool’s star man despite barely playing vs Forest
Can anyone take the MOM award off him? Have your say!

Rio Ngumoha stats during Liverpool’s win over Nottingham Forest
While he only played 13 minutes of normal time, the winger was given a 7.3 rating by Sofascore for his efforts.
That was higher than Salah (6.2) and Gakpo (7.0), who both played the majority of the fixture.
He created one big chance and completed one key pass against Forest.
Ngumoha also had 11 touches, completed two of his three dribbles and carried the ball a distance of 25.9 m.
With Salah still misfiring and Gakpo continuing to underwhelm, let’s hope the academy talent continues that form if and when he’s given more chances this season.
