Jason Kelce is widely known as a football center who played for 13 seasons in the NFL, all for the Philadelphia Eagles. With a Super Bowl to his name, along with seven Pro Bowl selections, and six First-Team All-Pro honors, he is considered one of the best centers in the sport.
Kelce is also known for his family, which includes Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and soon to be sister-in-law Taylor Swift. He announced his retirement back in 2024, and it has recently been revealed how his wife once begged him to ditch something.
Kylie Kelce reveals she begged Jason Kelce to ditch mullet
Jason’s wife Kylie Kelce recently appeared on her podcast Not Gonna Lie, where she talked about her husband. She talked about how she desperately wanted him to cut off his iconic mullet hairstyle before the birth of their first daughter in October, 2019. She did not want the mullet to appear in the family photos.

She said, “He had the mullet around the birth of Wyatt. The reason I know that is because I begged and pleaded for him to no longer have the mullet in the photos with our first child.” However, Jason did not listen to her and kept it, which even appeared in their photos with their first child, “You guessed it. There’s a mullet in the photos with our first child’s birth.”
Jason was known for sporting different hairstyles during his career, and often kept long hair. Around the 2019 season, he started to sport the mullet, which became iconic partly due to his own persona.
Kylie and Jason have been married since 2018, and first started dating in 2014 after matching on Tinder. The two have four daughters and are generally known for being a happy family. Kylie used to be a field hockey player at Cabrini University, and the two have shown their love for the sport.
Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce help Olympic star
Jason and his brother Travis recently decided to help Laila Edwards, the first black woman to represent the U.S. in Olympic women’s hockey. Edwards’ family launched a GoFundMe to fund travel to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, as they did not have sufficient funds to travel to attend their daughter’s game.
The Kelce brothers decided to help them with a huge donation of $10,000, and giving them a shout out on their “New Heights” podcast. This helped them to raise the required funds and they managed to attend the event which saw her help Team USA win the gold medal.
Jason Kelce is currently retired but still remains an NFL icon.
