“Few Hours Ago” Chiefs Star Hollywood Brown In Shock Over Last Messages From Rondale Moore…

The Minnesota Vikings closed their 2025 season on genuine momentum, rallying from a 4-8 low point to reel off five straight wins and finish 9-8. That run included a dominant 48-10 blowout over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 3 at U.S. Bank Stadium. Wide receiver Rondale Moore, though sidelined on injured reserve, remained part of that journey in spirit.

But on Saturday night, February 21, 2026, the football world stopped. The 25-year-old WR was gone, and the messages left behind would soon tell a story no one was prepared to hear.

Moore, a second-round pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2021 out of Purdue, carried enormous promise. He spent three seasons in Arizona before joining the Atlanta Falcons in 2024. He then signed a one-year deal with Minnesota in March 2025. Knee injuries, however, kept him off the field in both stops, leaving him on injured reserve without playing a single game for the Vikings.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, a former Cardinals teammate from 2022 to 2023, was among the first to speak publicly.

“Bro ain’t no way brotha you just messaged me few hours ago,” heposted on X.

In a follow-up, headdressed Moore directly: “You wasn’t alone bro.. I told you I know how you feel.”

he had sent Moore back in August, around the time Moore suffered his season-ending knee injury during the Vikings preseason opener.

Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connellreleased a heartfelt statement, saying: “I am devastated by the news of Rondale’s death. While Rondale had been a member of the Vikings for a short time, he was someone we came to know well and care about deeply. He was a humble, soft-spoken, and respectful young man who was proud of his Indiana roots.” O’Connell added: “We are all heartbroken by the fact he won’t continue to live out his NFL dream.”

Tributes poured in from across the league, shining a painful light on the mental weight that repeated injuries can place on young athletes. This is also the second devastating loss for the Vikings organization in under two years, following thedeath of rookie Khyree Jackson, 24, in a fatal car crash in July 2024, just weeks before his NFL debut.

The Vikings now carry two heartbreaking losses into a somber offseason, while Hollywood Brown, whowrapped up the 2025 season as the Chiefs’ leading wide receiver with 49 receptions, 587 yards, and five touchdowns, heads into free agency grieving a close friend while facing what comes next.
