Amid his recovery from runner’s knee, Steph Curry received a sweet message from his wife, Ayesha Curry. The Golden State Warriors superstar has been sidelined since the end of January. He’s expected to miss the rest of February and will likely return in early March.
In a post on Instagram, Ayesha shared several images with the two-time NBA MVP on the golf course. She wrote a one-word message for her husband, who is set to be re-evaluated in a week.
“LOML,” Ayesha wrote.
“LOML” means “Love of My Life.” The couple has been together since 2008. They have four children together: daughters Riley and Ryan and sons Canon and Caius.
It’s also unclear if the images were recent and during Steph’s recovery from his knee injury. He’s wearing an Under Armour shirt even though he left the brand back in November.
It is a little bit worrying for the Warriors if their legendary player is playing golf despite his knee issues during his rehabilitation.
Steph Spills Secret to Happy Marriage
Despite the negativity online toward Ayesha Curry, Steph Curry remains adamant about being happy with his marriage. Steph opened up about the secrets to keeping his relationship with Ayesha strong.
“It sounds kind of cheesy, but (communication) is really a foundation,” Steph told People Magazine during the premiere of Goat earlier this month. “We built that over time, where you can say whatever is on your mind and it doesn’t come off as a personal attack or anything.”
The four-time NBA champion added, “Life is hard and you’re trying to, you know, handle all the stress and especially as parents, too. But if you can prioritize that, then prioritize each other as much as possible, that’s the foundation.”
Steph and Ayesha Curry have known each other since they were teenagers. They started dating in 2008, when Steph was a star for Davidson College. They got married in 2011, welcoming their first daughter, Riley, a year later.
Ayesha Says Steph is Her GOAT
As part of the premiere of Goat, Steph and Ayesha Curry spoke to multiple outlets on the red carpet, including E! News. Steph mentioned the challenges of marriage, but they make it work because they’ve known each other a long time.
Ayesha, on the other hand, praised her husband’s hard work as a father, husband and basketball star.
“He’s my GOAT,” Ayesha said. “His work ethic is unmatched, and he’s a wonderful father, a great husband. And so, just the day in and day out—getting to see the way that he moves—is very inspirational.”
The couple has a role in the movie Goat. Steph voiced Lenny Williamson, a giraffe roarball player, while Ayesha lent her voice to a llama named Carol.
Steph was one of the producers of the film through his Unanimous Media company. He has been hands-on with many projects, with IMDB listing him as a producer for at least three upcoming movies.
As for acting, Steph is open to the possibility once he retires from the NBA. He already has an acting coach in Ayesha, who has had roles on television and in films over the years.
