'Will be discussed': Vincent Kompany gives update on Nicolas Jackson's situation after Chelsea rumours

Vincent Kompany has claimed that he is happy having Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson at Bayern Munich.

However, that does not mean that Bayern are going to sign Jackson from Chelsea permanently in the summer.

In fact, there has already been plenty of talk suggesting that Bayern will not be purchasing Jackson.

Nicolas Jackson could be an option for Chelsea again next season! 👀

The German giants signed the 24-year-old on loan, but it no longer appears possible for him to trigger their obligation to buy.

Vincent Kompany says Bayern Munich move depends on Nicolas Jackson and the club

Kompany was recently asked about Jackson’s situation but did not really have an answer.

According to the former Manchester City defender, any decision will be made between the player and the club.

Speaking to reporters after Bayern’s 3-2 win against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, Kompany said (via Goal): “We enjoy having Nicolas Jackson with us. Any decision about the summer will be discussed with Nicolas himself and between the clubs. I don’t have an answer now. The only thing I know is that we’re very happy to have him.”

As things stand, then, Jackson is set to return to Chelsea in the summer. Should that happen, the Blues can either keep hold of the Senegal international, sell him or sanction another loan.

How Chelsea COULD line-up with Nicolas Jackson

Could this side win the Premier League?

Jackson is reportedly attracting interest from the Premier League, so it will not be difficult for Chelsea to find a buyer.

Chelsea’s pursuit of other strikers makes Nicolas Jackson stay unlikely

After watching Liam Delap struggle at Stamford Bridge this season, some Chelsea fans would probably welcome Jackson back to west London.

But the likelihood is there will be no room for him. As well as Delap, Liam Rosenior also has Joao Pedro in his squad, while Emanuel Emegha will be another option for him next term as well.

Chelsea are also being linked with multiple strikers right now. For example, it is thought that Chelsea have an interest in Igor Thiago.

If the Blues sign the Brentford star or another centre-forward, there will definitely not be a way back for Jackson. For some, the ex-Villarreal man has burnt all of his bridges with the club anyway.

You cannot rule anything out, but it would be a surprise if Jackson put on a Chelsea shirt again.
