Eberechi Eze: ‘It was a special performance’

Eberechi Eze expressed his thoughts on another memorable derby day for Arsenal.

The Gunners grabbed a 4-1 triumph against **Tottenham**to earn a fourth successive away win in the North London derby. Viktor Gyokeres grabbed the second and fourth strikes for the visitors while Eze added a brace to his hat-trick from the last edition of this rivalry. It was an afternoon to remember for the £68 million man, who has helped reopen their advantage at the top of the table to five points.

"We played with dominance today, with confidence and just the connection that we had on the pitch. I think it was a special performance from us and something that we can continue to build on and something to work towards our goals.

“We know what these types of games are. We know the energy that the fans are bringing and how we need to emotionally be ready for the games as well. I think we've done so well with that and we took advantage of that for sure.

“These games are all about momentum and being in the moment. I'm just thankful to God for the opportunities that we took today. We worked so hard, we gave everything and when we perform like this it motivates us.

“[Viktor] has got so much energy. We spoke about it before, it's infectious when you have a player like that and he's working so hard. It makes you want to continue to work as hard as you can to see what he's given. He's an inspiration for all of us working towards what we want to achieve.”

“It's a special moment. Again, grateful to God. Thankful to Him for the opportunities that I'm getting and being in this position that is special. I enjoy it every single day and I'm grateful for it. But I want to continue to push and keep giving more, keep helping the team to achieve.”
