Suns’ Jalen Green, Grayson Allen both questionable vs. Trail Blazers

Phoenix Suns guards Jalen Green (right hamstring injury management) and Grayson Allen (right knee and ankle injury management) are both questionable to play Sunday against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Green played 36 minutes, and Allen played 33 minutes in the Suns’ double-overtime win over the Orlando Magic Saturday.

Saturday was Allen’s first game back from the All-Star break after missing Phoenix’s first game out of the break and the three straight games.

Green has played in both games coming out of the break and has played in four of the Suns’ last five games.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if either player sits out Sunday on the second night of a back-to-back after Saturday’s game took two overtimes to complete.

Allen led the Suns with 27 points (8-of-22 from the field, 4-14 from 3-point range). He also collected seven rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal in the win.

The Suns’ veteran is averaging 17.3 points, 3.9 assists and 3.1 rebounds in 30.4 minutes played this season.

Green was the hero Saturday, nailing the game-winning, buzzer-beating 3-pointer, which was one of his two made 3s on the night. He had 16 points (6-of-26 from the field), seven rebounds, five assists and three steals.

The Suns’ guard is averaging 13.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 18.9 minutes played in nine games this season.

Devin Booker (right hip strain), Dillon Brooks (left hand fracture), Jordan Goodwin (left calf strain), Haywood Highsmith (right knee injury management) and Cole Anthony (not with team) are all out.

Trail Blazers injury report vs. Suns

All-star forward Deni Avdija is questionable due to low back injury management. Former Arizona Wildcats guard Caleb Love is out.

Avdija is averaging 25 points, 7.2 assists and 6.8 rebounds in 34.2 minutes played this season. He played 30 minutes in the Trail Blazers’ first game after the All-Star break Friday.

Sunday would’ve been Love’s first opportunity at a homecoming game.
