Maxey landed a massive facial dunk over the Minnesota superstar in one of the league's best highlights thus far this season.
Despite being put on a massive poster by Tyrese Maxey, Anthony Edwards is still all smiles as he kept it cool regarding the Philadelphia 76ers budding superstar Tyrese Maxey.
Minnesota Timberwolves / Schedule
Maxey submitted his Dunk of the Year piece to the NBA on Sunday as he flushed a one-handed jam over the contest of Edwards with over seven minutes left in the third quarter of the 76ers-Timberwolves matchup.
The highlight was so ridiculous that even the Minnesota crowd went oozing from the dunk, as Maxey stared against Edwards following the major play.
“He’s incredible, man, he already know he’s one of my favorite players to watch in the league. He dunked on me today too, I don’t really like that," a laughing Edwards told reporters after the game.
"I didn’t know he was going downhill, I just ended up turning my head. I’m thinking he was going to lay it up then he went and punched it.”
Both American sensations, who played as teammates in the past All-Star Game under USA Stars, will meet again on Apr. 3 for the final regular-season game between the Wolves and the Sixers.
