The new Wizards star is thrilled about the possibilities of forming a twin-tower tandem with Alex Sarr and bringing him under his wing.
In his recent appearance on Monumental Sports Network, new Washington Wizards star Anthony Davis offered high hopes and optimism about his looming frontcourt partnership with Alex Sarr.

"I feel like I've always been very successful with another big. The good thing about Alex is that he can space the floor, and on the defensive end it's going to be insane," Davis said about Sarr. "Being able to guard the pick and rolls, switch on guards and guard them, rim protection — I think he's second in the league in blocks right now, blocks per game. He's young, so he's only going to get better.
"I just hope that the wisdom that I've learned from the greats I've been around — Dwight [Howard], JaVale McGee, Tyson Chandler, Marc Gasol — all the guys that helped me can carry over to help them as well."
Beyond his star partnership with Trae Young, another compelling aspect of Davis' blockbuster trade arrival in D.C. has been the potential he can create with Sarr anchoring the middle.
Both Davis and Sarr are about to construct one of the most formidable and promising frontcourt presences in the league. As such, the French sensation is in the right direction to become a spectacular big man of his own.
In his sophomore NBA season, the 20-year-old has already flashed two-way wonder. He is averaging 17.2 points in nearly 50 percent shooting with 7.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.0 blocks across 41 games played.
Once Davis is fully healthy and the 2026-27 season begins, the sky is the limit for the twin tower pairing of Davis and Sarr to lead the Wizards back to relevance.
