Wisconsin Badgers, QB Colton Joseph gets huge shoutout from Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks had a special guest at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Sunday night. Among the thousands in attendance to watch the Bucks host the Toronto Raptors was none other than new Wisconsin Badgers quarterback Colton Joseph.

The Badgers’ signal-caller was shown on the jumbotron during a break in the game in the middle of the second quarter. He even threw a ball into the crowd.

Wisconsin Badgers new QB gets a taste of Bucks action

The Bucks lost to the Raptors, 122-94, as the Giannis Antetokounmpo-less Milwaukee side struggled to play consistent basketball on both sides of the floor. It was not exactly the kind of result Joseph and the Bucks fans in attendance wanted to see.

Joseph, however, will have more control over what happens to his new team in the 2026 college football season.

A former starter for the Old Dominion Monarchs, Joseph will look to spark a turnaround for Wisconsin football, which has won just nine games combined in 2024 and 2025. In two seasons with the Monarchs, Joseph passed for 512 yards and 32 touchdowns against 15 interceptions on a 59.8 percent completion rate.

A dual-threat QB, Joseph also gathered a total of 1,654 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns on 272 carries with Old Dominion.

With Joseph at the helm of the Monarchs’ attack on the field, Old Dominion ranked 29th in the nation in 2025 with 32.0 points per game and 16th with 454.7 yards per outing.
