Former Newcastle United defender Lloyd Kelly is in line for a shock return to the Premier League, with the Juventus star's value more than DOUBLING in just over a year.

The ex-Bournemouth stopper had a brief spell at St James' Park last season, having signed on a free in the summer of 2024 when his contact at the Vitality Stadium expired.

However, the 27-year-old struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular in Eddie Howe's squad, playing just 14 times before leaving for Italian giants Juve.

The initial loan move was made permanent at the end of last season in a deal worth around £20m to Newcastle.

Kelly has gone on to become an important player for the Old Lady of Italian football, and his form has caught the eye of several Premier League clubs.

Now reports suggest Tottenham could be ready to make a summer move, with former Juve manager Igor Tudor in charge of the North London club.

Tudor worked with Kelly in Turin last season, and is said to be keen to bring him back to the UK to help bolster their defence next term.

However, Juventus reportedly value Kelly at around $50m, more than double the fee they paid to sign him from Newcastle on a permanent deal.

Liverpool have also been linked with a move as they look at their defensive options, with Joe Gomez set to leave Anfield this summer and doubts over the future if Ibrahima Konate.

Kelly has played 33 times for Juventus this season, including eight Champions League appearances, although they face an uphill task in the second leg of their play-off game with Galatasaray after a 5-2 defeat in Istanbul last week.
