Olivier Giroud helped Chelsea to win the Champions League under Thomas Tuchel back in the 2020/21 season.
En route to the final against Manchester City, Giroud scored six goals, with four of those coming in a single game.
The striker netted four times in Chelsea’s 4-0 victory over Sevilla in the group stage of the tournament.

Olivier Giroud scored brilliant overhead kick in Chelsea’s 1-0 win against Atletico Madrid five years ago
It was not as good as his famous scorpion-kick for Arsenal against Crystal Palace, but Giroud’s overhead strike in Chelsea’s Champions League knockout tie versus Atletico Madrid was still a terrific one.
The score was 0-0 at the time, but after being alert to the ball bouncing around in Atletico’s box and quickly adjusting his body, Giroud managed to score a bicycle kick to put Chelsea in front.
The goal was initially disallowed, but the VAR intervened and could not find an offside, resulting in the goal eventually being given.
Chelsea went on to win the second leg of their last-16 tie at Stamford Bridge 2-0, and the rest is history.
Chelsea signed Giroud from Arsenal for just £18m. His European record at the Blues alone has made him one of their greatest-ever bargains.

In the 2018/19 Europa League campaign, he scored an impressive 11 goals in 14 outings, which includes his header against former club Arsenal in the final.
He was not too prolific in the Premier League, but Giroud in Europe for Chelsea was just a different animal. When you look back at Chelsea’s 2021 Champions League success, his goal against Atletico cannot be ignored.
